How to install

Android

  1. Open livecaptionit.com in Chrome, Edge, Brave, or Samsung Internet.
  2. Tap the "Install" pill that appears on the home page.
  3. Confirm in the prompt. The app icon lands on your Home Screen.
  4. Open the icon — it launches in its own window, no browser bar.

Tip: long-press the icon → Add to Home Screen if you want it on a specific page.

iOS / iPadOS

  1. Open livecaptionit.com in Safari (NOT Chrome on iOS — Chrome on iOS uses Safari under the hood but the Add-to-Home-Screen flow is Safari's).
  2. Tap the Share icon at the bottom (square with up arrow).
  3. Scroll the share sheet → Add to Home Screen.
  4. Confirm. App icon lands on your Home Screen.

Note: floating PiP isn't supported on iOS Safari. Captions render inline on the page.

Windows / Mac / Linux

  1. Open livecaptionit.com in Chrome, Edge, Brave, or Arc.
  2. Click the "Install" pill on the home page (or the install icon in the URL bar — looks like a monitor with a down arrow).
  3. Confirm. App lands in Start menu (Windows) / Applications (Mac) / app drawer (Linux).
  4. Open the new app — runs in its own window, the PiP captions float over any other app.

Pin it to your taskbar / dock for one-click access during meetings.

We could ship a native app. We chose not to.
