How to install
Android
- Open livecaptionit.com in Chrome, Edge, Brave, or Samsung Internet.
- Tap the "Install" pill that appears on the home page.
- Confirm in the prompt. The app icon lands on your Home Screen.
- Open the icon — it launches in its own window, no browser bar.
Tip: long-press the icon → Add to Home Screen if you want it on a specific page.
iOS / iPadOS
- Open livecaptionit.com in Safari (NOT Chrome on iOS — Chrome on iOS uses Safari under the hood but the Add-to-Home-Screen flow is Safari's).
- Tap the Share icon at the bottom (square with up arrow).
- Scroll the share sheet → Add to Home Screen.
- Confirm. App icon lands on your Home Screen.
Note: floating PiP isn't supported on iOS Safari. Captions render inline on the page.
Windows / Mac / Linux
- Open livecaptionit.com in Chrome, Edge, Brave, or Arc.
- Click the "Install" pill on the home page (or the install icon in the URL bar — looks like a monitor with a down arrow).
- Confirm. App lands in Start menu (Windows) / Applications (Mac) / app drawer (Linux).
- Open the new app — runs in its own window, the PiP captions float over any other app.
Pin it to your taskbar / dock for one-click access during meetings.
We could ship a native app. We chose not to.
